National Rental Home Council Statement on Nomination of Pam Patenaude

National Rental Home Council (NRHC) Executive Director Diane Tomb issued the following statement following President Donald Trump’s nomination of Pam Patenaude as Deputy Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development:

“We commend President Trump’s selection of Pam Patenaude and urge the Senate to confirm her nomination in a timely fashion. Ms. Patenaude is a strong advocate for a robust housing market and affordable housing options, and we are confident that she shares our members’ goals of providing quality housing choices for all. Her experience at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the J. Ronald Terwilliger Foundation for Housing America’s Families, the Urban Land Institute and the Bipartisan Policy Center give her the breadth and depth of knowledge necessary to tackle the country’s most pressing housing policy challenges.

As the organization representing the professionally managed single-family rental home industry, we recognize that high-quality rental homes represent an important housing option for many Americans. We look forward to collaborating with Deputy Secretary nominee Patenaude to ensure that HUD’s approach is informed by a recognition of America’s growing demand for single-family rental housing.”
